Has your Elm Tree Suffered Severe leaf Damage?
If this is the case you have an infestation of Elm Leaf Beetle.
Continual defoliation caused by Elm Leaf Beetle larvae is the beginning for many elm trees to go into gradual decline and eventual death. Defoliation is highly detrimental, stopping the trees ability to achieve Photosynthesis and produces the necessary resources to sustain health, pathogen resistance and survival. In time untreated trees begin to exhibit “Dieback” symptoms on some of the limbs and branches, other pathogens will take advantage of this situation eventually leading to the trees demise.
The Solution
Our Company is a specialist in this field; we have treated thousands of elm trees using all methods.
Microinjection or direct vascular injection has proven to be the superior method of control; treatments last two or more years and are available All Year Round, unlike other methods, which are seasonal.
The optimum time for treatment is late summer onwards;
severely damaged trees have time to gain the maximum insecticidal and therapeutic value before next season.
The therapeutic additives are in combination with the insecticide, the additives are fully systemic but the insecticide is partially systemic or “Translaminar,” mobile upwards within the xylem to the canopy.
The benefits of this technology over conventional methods are that it doesn’t require irrigation when treated now, suitable for drought conditions and water restrictions.
Environmentally safe, All Injection Points are sealed with patented plastic plugs, this isolates and seals the chemistry within and avoids possible pathogen entry.
The injection points are inconspicuous, with bark growth covering the plugs entirely.
